The water still too cold for crappie, so flipped a few jigs and burned some gas. We ready though! Now I just need to decide what to smoke or grill while trying to keep my eyes open for the Daytona.

I'm closer out there than I have ever been in the dozens of buildings and social groups I was forced to be at.

I guess I can give it to you based on the definition of a Church being a building, but if you are implying that a person can't worship unless he is in a room with others and paying tithes I'll have to just walk away from this thread.

I'm with you brother. This is the view from the cabin porch at our hunt camp:

Go and sin no more. Nothing better than being in Gods great outdoors and being in constant prayer with him.

I would rather be in the woods thinking about God than in a building thinking about the woods.

I never said any of that, but go ahead and give us a break down on what portion of the trip you spent in prayer and what you spent driving around fishing and relaxing. Im sure it was a blast, Ive missed a few sunday mornings in my day, but I think trying to call it Church is inacurate. Relaxing sure, pleasant sure, a great time to spend with friends family and a simpler time and place in the great outdoors? Sure, but its not church.

Church isn't supposed to be all about you.

I would argue that you could say the same about going to a church building. I walk in, shake hands with some people, catch up with a few buddies. We usually talk about fishing or hunting work etc. pray, listen to a sermon and leave for lunch. Worship was good and I try to apply something from the sermon to my life each week.
here is my normal hunting weekend
Pray get in the woods reflect on God and his beauty. Spend more time praying. Come in and spend some time with friends talking about fishing hunting work and personal issues with true friends. Leave with a peaceful heart

I feel you are missing what the Body of Christ truly is. (Church) It is also the fellowship with other believers. It is the heart of the matter, helping your fellow man. The spirit of God is love, joy, and peace. I find that in the woods far more than in a building. Both are needed but you may want to loosen the definition of what you call church.
