found this guy on the porch this morning and I'm not sure what he is? one thing I can tell you is he wasn't friendly. I live on north padre island in corpus if it helps. Only thing I can think of is that migrated down here from somewhere.

I have no idea what that thing is, but I kinda want one in my back yard.
I like spoonie, his humor is dryer than my duck lease.

Don't know what kinda bird that is, but if it bites you with that fishhook beak, it will hurt more than a CBR.

The way this thing made the guy jump I bet it would keep anyone from braking in. Guard dogs are overrated compared to this thing!
Arise.Kill.Eat -Acts 10:13 I have read a bunch of stuff on the internet about Star Wars but that does not mean I can skin a deer with a light saber.

They are a migratory bird so they're not always around. They like to stay in the cattails and bullrush, in the marsh we duck hunt. I've had them flush just a couple steps ahead of me in the dark on the way in to setup. It's really strange to see one even along the edge of the marsh, much less in someone's yard. I'm thinking he was injured/sick or at least turned around.
