I think this buck is 3.5, but he's considerably bigger than the deer he's running around with. Could be a worn out 4.5, though hocks aren't stained much. If he is, I don't think he'll ever make ARs. His little buddy looks like he may one of these years. 2 of my 3 cameras weren't working. Pretty frustrating, but from what I can tell, the hogs are about the only thing hitting my other feeder. Area looks like a mine field.

Looks more mature and like a 5 yr old to me from that angle and the one color pic. To much neck and brisket muscling to be younger IMO.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

That buck is 3.5 and not a day over. There is a good book out there called "Field Guide to Aging and Scoring White-tailed Deer", by G&R Products. It is small, rugged, and will fit in your hunting pack. You can go to their website at www.deeragingtool.com and get an education. Seems like most on this forum need it. I hunt a strictly managed 8000 ac. ranch and we take nearly 50 deer per year. Everyone there is highly educated in deer aging with multiple refreshers each season. Please don't get into a pissing contest about your opinions. You are entitled to them, but it doesn't mean you're right.

I don't think that deers over 4 usually the mature bucks around here in wise/clay are significantly larger than the younger bucks the hind end on that buck is still slanted where the older bucks usually are rounded and another thing I look at is their back and gut area the older bucks to me look like a ol'sway back mare I'd let him go another year or two who knows he might blow up and turn into something and nows about the right time to start feeding some protein

Dude, that place is haunted! Look at the ghost looking on. I circled it for you. I'm just messing with ya. I like looking for stuff. Our wood cabinets at the office has a "demon" on them. I showed him to the girls and they freaked out. It's in all of your pic's. Kinda looks like a "Jason hockey mask" Laughing. I have an active imagination.

I can't age nothing and I can't tell ya how much it weighs. My uncle used to get flustered at me cause I couldn't tell him how much our livestock weighed. It's just not my forte.

So you carry around the little booky wherever you go? I laughed. It's always funny to me when people come on here and make dumb statements like, "I hunt a highly managed 5000 acres so I know what I'm talking about." Pssst...so does half this board. Your opinion is noted, but no more correct than anyone else's. Your highly managed ranch probably makes you less qualified, not more, to judge the age of a typical low-fence buck.
