Trying to find a barrel for my ar. I would like a 16-18" with a sporter contour, cause I want to keep it light as possible. Looked at model 1 sales and all I saw was heavy barrels. If you have any leads I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

The places I would look would be ARP and Wilson Combat.

Arp is out of barrels . They did have a 16" fluted barrel pop up two seperate days but they went very fast . I just so happened to snag one two days ago. Email them they may have a lead time that's how I knew they were gonna come in stock a few days ago

Anyone know why rainier arms isn't listing 6.8 barrels anymore ?

Have a 20" Bison Stainless on the one I built. I reload for it and it is a pretty forgiving barrel, I have yet to do a load that was outside 1.5 inches, however once I dialed in the 95gr TTSX on it, I am cutting one ragged hole. Very nice barrel.

I was browsing the ARP website a few weeks ago and I don't think their wait time is too long. Not for certain but you might check them out.

I have a PSA 18 SS and a YHM 16. Getting more consistent groups with the PSA. 1 holes with hand loads of 100 gr Accubonds and A2200 powder.

My go to load has been the 95 ttsx handloaded over 29.5g of RL10x
Been using them before they were released, they are fantastic bullets on game.

I have just started trying the Hornady 120 SST factory load.
Very accurate and deadly.

Thanks guys for the leads. I'm finding a lot of out of stock signs on the barrels.I'm liking the wilson TR68lw16 16" light weight stainless weighs 24.8 oz at $274.95. But the Bison 16" recon is 1.90 lbs @$200.00. Is it hard to get brass, mags, and dies these days?

Mags are not to hard to come by. There are even a few in the classifieds right now. Don't know about brass and dies but ammo is pretty easy to come by at Academy. SSA ammo which seems to be the ammo of choice for most 6.8 guys is in short supply though.

True on the SSA ammo.

I really like their brass for reloads. This is a 3 shot Group out of my PSA @ 100 yards. 100 gr Accubonds 29 gr of AA 2200.

Midway had SSA 110 gn Sierra Pro-Hunter in stock last week. Midway has been getting 6.8 in stock the last couple of months, you just have to check regularly. I've seen the SSA and Hornady 100 Vmax & 120 SST.

I went with the 16" Recon stainless from Bison Armory. Got the A2 compensator ,6.8 bolt ,and low pro gas block from them also. I got 80 rounds 110 hornady v-max 1 ten round mag and 2 25 round mags from Midway. I put my lower together last night and it wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. Guy that I bought the lower from gave me some good advice about putting it together in a gallon ziplock bag. up UPS tracking shows that barrel will be here Thursday.
