My name is Pat Helton and I am the founder of Rods For Soldiers. We build and donate custom fishing rods to wounded veterans. I also do at least one hunt and one fishing trip per year. On these trips each veteran receives as many gifts as I can find for them of course each gets a custom fishing rod whether it is a fishing trip or a hunting trip. I have a hunting trip for axis deer in Fredricksbug coming up and a fishing trip in Matagorda. I need donations in the form of products(shirts, caps, camo clothing, reels, knives, food, beer, sodas, anything outdoors, etc) and of course cash. The dates are set for both trips. The axis deer hunt will be May 16th thru 18thand the fishing trip will be June 20th thru 22nd. Everything will be provided for the veterans.

The dates for the fishing trip has changed due to a scheduling conflict. It will be a week early on June 13, 14, and 15. Looking forward to a lot of fun, fellowship,lots of fish, and good food.

Cant wait just took leave 15 - 20 th so I can go and not rush heading down or back it will be good to hang with other vets and enjoy some good time in the woods
