Picked up a single action 444 marlin handi rifle NIB for under $200. Looking for suggestions on a scope. This is going to be my truck/brush gun for busting hogs, mostly under 50 yards shots, will be shooting hornady levervolution. Doesn’t have open sites and looking to keep the glass under $200.

seems like for under 50 yards, a red dot would be hard to beat.

Got a buddy that just did the exact same thing as you did, same rifle, same caliber. He got a Nikon 2-7x32 ProStaff. I think he paid around 150 for it at Cabelas.
