My new hog gun.. Mossberg Maverick 88 Field Will be great up to 75 yards. Taking it out to the range tomorrow to break it in with slugs and the new AA TrAAcker rounds by Winchester. Also it was on sale at Academy Sports for 169.99 but all the Academy sports int eh DFW metroplex were sold out. But the Wall-Mart in Burleson had 1 left and price matched the add! They do not come in Cammo but nothing a little time and Cammo duck tape can't fix for 2.99 HAHA A little Ghetto I know but I think it looks ok. haha Happy I got this gun, can finally go on public lands now. :-D

Bought one at Academy around 2008 for $150 with a $50 mail in rebate. Have a ton of rounds through it, still acts brand new.

may as well just turn in the man card....... it ain't got no NV or 18x97.5 power scope and no hole for your thump to get stuck in.... and no pro Z (or whatever they are called) aimin sling..
I bought a mossberg 500 at Kmart for $139 with the adjustable choke/ribbed barrel and a slug barrel (in 1982)... Loved it... Practice wife knew it so it was the first thing she sold when things went south and I wasn't there to defend my stuff.....
Good job with the tape too..... I may steal the idea for one I am getting ready to pick up.....

Looks like a nice gun at a nice price. What's not to like? As for the camo job, it's your gun. Do what you want. Good luck with the hogs!

Don't see why it won't work. I just ordered a rifled slug choke for my TriStar Raptor and plan on using it for hogs also. Camo looks OK to me, did mine with McNett camo tape.
