J, I've yet to make it out there this year (my plans keep changing), but I'm sure some other folks will chime in; to be honest, though, the best source of WOC news is Luke Baker, the staff biologist. Just Google White Oak Creek WMA and you'll see the Texas Parks and Wildlife WOC link. His contact info is on the homepage. I've hunted several WMAs over the last few years and he's been the most friendly and informative TPWD staffer I've run across…he'll give you the real scoop!
I'd also download a copy of the public lands book PDF (you'll get a free hard copy when you get your APH permit, too) since the rules that govern hunting on WMAs varies greatly! It's really a pain to remember everything you're supposed to know, but the book spells it out in black and white.
Enjoy your trip down here; public lands hunting in Texas isn't easy, but it's cheap and fun.

If you do not have a 4 wheeler or off road vehicle don't even bother. I got drawn for a TPW gun hunt last season and getting in and out with my gear on my drag cart was very difficult. If I had known that the area was open all season to archery hunting (hogs), deer during archery season, with no limit on number of people per area per day etc. I never would have entered the draw. The gun hunts are very structured 4 people per unit per hunt date and access is limited to 2 half days and 1 full day. I arrived to find a WMA that had been hunted hard for over a month, one of the local guys said there were at least 5 to 10 trucks lined up at every entry point each weekend. There were 4 wheeler tracks ALMOST EVERYWHERE I WENT..... $80.00 and a 3.5 hr. drive to see absolutely nothing that had hair, not a rabbit skunk coon rat mouse nothing but birds. I will never do the draw hunt for this WMA again, I will visit it again to hog hunt though. Good Luck on your hunt, I hope you see a bunch

Mike, Let us know if you see anything. I'd love to know what the place is like away from deer season. Everything I saw looked like really good hog area, and I heard the locals talk about all the hogs they usually see.

Will do; BTW, as it turns out, I'm going next weekend, not this one…
Also, ATVs are restricted to disabled hunters during feral hog general season, FWIW.

The draw hunts suck. Got there early, talked to the TP&W guys and picked our spot. Was booted out of that spot by another group and given a place that no one else wanted. We left and called it a life lesson to my boys. We won't do that again and had a plan b so it worked out for us.
It ain't easy being me.

I hunted out there yesterday from daylight till dark with some very good dogs, we covered a ton of ground and caught one little sow.We did not see a hog track one, we hunted from twin lakes to where the Sulphur and White oak creek come together, then we hunted most of chicken ranch rd off 67 and was completely void of hog sign. I have hunted this place for years and don't remember hogs ever being this scarce, there was 0 mast this year I think that has alot to do with it, I dang sure wouldn't drive from some other state to hunt to hunt this place, but don't take my word for it come see for your self......

Sorry to hear that, Coon! That Twin Lakes area is where I've hunted most on WOC, so if you didn't get more than one with good dogs, I wouldn't have stood a chance by my lonesome. Oh, well, I knew from the biologist there it would be tough sledding, so I'm not surprised. Thanks for the report and better luck next time! Mike H.

Since the area manager owns private property backing up to the WMA, those units get treated as private property.
