There is a place in Weatherford called Teels custom meats. Havnt used them, but have heard good things.

Teel's doesnt do taxi, just processing. They can direct you though. I've used Neil's, they have a mount up in Birdwell's lube if you want to see their work. They run $400 with a $200 deposit. They actually tan the hide instead of preserving it like some places do. Their work is great. 940-798-3418. I believe they are out mule deer hunting right now, but I can't remember when they said it was.
Lonestar is another one I've heard good things about, although I've never used them. Home 817-594-9779. Cell 817-565-3594.
One for the Wall in Sprigtown does great work, although they take a while. This guy has been doing it for a long time. I have a bobcat there right now. His number is 817-677-9094. Hope that helps.

I have some stuff at Puma Taxidermy in Weatherford right now. They are really nice folks. Might want to check them out.

Gilleys in Azel you can get his number from Teel Meat in Weatherford he has been in buisnes 29 years and its 370.00 for a whitetail shoulder mount

Terry at Alpine gun range does really good work. He has done 1 WT Deer, 2 redfish, 1 boar, an Audad and a Moufalon ram for me. All fantastic.

You pay for what you get.

How much does that guy run at Alpine? And what's his turn-around?

I just took my 9 pointer that I shot last week to Decatur Taxidermy. They do a shoulder mount for $425.00
Brother Terry recomended them to me. Their number is 940-627-8006 They are full time taxidermist and seem to be really nice folks. I was told that it would be about 6 to 8 months turnaround but from what I've heard that is the norm. They are straight up 51 from Weatherford thru Springtown almost into Decatur.

Danny Lee does all of my mounts, deer, ducks, and fish. Last year he was charging $350 for a shoulder mount. He has the best price I have found and does excellent work, kind of the exception to getting what you pay for. His number is 817 249 2187, located just outside of Benbrook.

You need to take it to the Flag Group in Dallas off of Harry Hines, they are awesome.

I dropped off my nine point yesterday at Alpine for them to do a shoulder mount on...They said it will be May before it will be ready. I shoot out there a lot and went in to check it out this past summer. They do EXCELLENT work there. They are a little higher than I have paid in the past but I would rather pay a little more and get a quality job than save a few bucks and be unhappy with the mount.

My father-in-law likes to find a deal...save money...he likes to keep it at $300 or less for a shoulder mount. You all should see some of his mounts. YUK!!! They should have paid him to practice on his deer.

I want quality workmanship and as the man said...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR...most of the time anyway.

Terry at Alpine does everything I have done and I assure you when you hang a 300 dollar mount next to his you will see the difference. He is a little higher but Im going to be looking at that mount the rest of my life and dont want to wish Id takin somewhere else when I look at it. You get what you pay for.

Bart Walker in Weatherford did an excellent job for me a few years back. I don't know if he's still in business or not. He had placed very well with his work at the Hunter's Extravaganza. Pay a little extra and get a good mount. You'll forget that extra $150 soon. You'll never forget an ugly mount hanging on the wall.

I take all of my stuff to One for the wall in Springtown. Brian is slow and he learned his trade from Bart Walker. And he does a GREAT job. I have been down the road of having Gilleys do a deer for me, NEVER again. You really get what you pay for. 817 677 9094, give Brian a call.

My huntin buddies and I use Animal House in Whiskey Flats. He does really good work at a very good price. Takes him awhile to get you the mount. He's a one man show, but worth the wait. $350 for a shoulder mount with a $100 deposit.
