Do you have your old springs? I would love to have them for my samurai I'm building.

Thx. I went with the Rough Country 4inch. It lives up to its name, it I've never been in a leaf sprung vehicle that ride good. I'm trying to find somebody that will make me a pair of knives with the leaf springs, if I don't have any luck you can have them.

Yessir. Rough Country and I had a Hell Creek 4 inch suspension lift on my J-10 Honcho. Incredibly harsh ride.

The more you take it off road and start flexing those springs out, the ride will start to soften up.

I loved the pics of you Honcho, will definitely be getting in a few years.
Yes it's a harsh ride, but I'm going to remove front and rear track bars, and I also didn't tighten the hackle mounts down to 95foot pounds instead they are at 65, it allows for easier movement.

Good job on the lift. Ever think about flat blacking the wheels?

Yep. When I bought one I specifically bought one that was bone stock and lifted it myself. In my case I didn't want a lift "kit" but wanted to piece one together from different companies to get the quality and parts I wanted.

when i was in highschool,we lifted a friends jeep in his garage. After we were done we went to drive it out and it wouldn't fit out the garage door eek endedup letting all the air out of the tires and having people stand on the bumpers to squeeze it out. Yours looks good, hope you got it out of the garage ok!!

Did a little more work to it last night. Got the pitman arm sprayed with PB blaster and the puller is on it with tension, going to give it a few turns and whacks tonight and hope it comes off. Next will be extended brake lines and new tie for ends, ditching the front track bar, and making sway bar quick disconnects. A SYE new driveshaft is in the works, along with new gears.

I waited on buying the lift until I reached the capability of my driving and the Jeep's full capacity. I don't spend money very easily, I do a lot of research, and since this isn't my daily driver I decided that the RC kit provided the most complete kit for the money, and with lifetime warranty on the springs I'll be good to go for a while.

By the end of the year I will have built rock sliders with built in step, front bumper with custom winch mount, rear bumper, tool box where the rear seat was.

I want/need new wheels, mine don't have enough back space and my tires still hit the inner fender and frame, might start hacking before buying new wheels. I actually like the white, it was the "in thing" when this Jeep was new.

Stay tuned for more pics

It just so happens I've got these for sell if you want to go black

Give me a bit and I'll put some pics up of the toolbox/trunk I built where my rear seat was. It give me lockable storage in a jeep with no hardtop

How many Shiners did it take? And will it clear the garage door?

Clears the garage door fine, will allow me to run 35's once fenders are made. There was at least a 12 pack down. I'm bad about drinking beer while working in the garage. I often get up to get a tool or answer the phone a grab a beer, then set it down where I start working. Then get up again and grab another beer. At some point during this I had 4 open beers, remember kids, always have beer handy and near up
