I've used this, before, to braise. You can (could) get it at Whole Foods), although this is a pic from Amazon.

I like to do "pulled wild game" in the crockpot with my deer roasts and ducks.

Add your favorite BBQ sauce and meat. Or get one of the "pulled pork" crockpot seasoning packages and follow its directions.
