Its not cheap to find someone you trust that will get it done right. I did some stuff myself and it is tough to do well unless your just one of those detail oriented and talented people. Ask to see some finished products or referrals if they will. It will be at least a couple hundred the materials around 100-200 to just do one. Im sure bulk its cheaper for someone who does guns and camo a lot. However a lot of guys who dip aren't used to guns and have to order the camo film that you desire. If you have a guy that does a lot of guns you should be safe and come in cheaper. If they have to order a whole roll just for you it could get pricey. It only takes an hour or two so depends on how they value their time.
There was a thread here yesterday on painting guns with spray cans and different techniques. maybe someone can find it and post it. In my opinion spray paint is the better option and a lot easier to touch up down the road. Not that the dip stuff doesn't look great but I feel its trendy and will ultimately date a weapon just like all these fancy camo patterns it's just not necessary. We might like it as people but ultimately thats all its good for. Deer and hogs won't notice that you used mossy oak pattern xyz on your rifle instead of green spray paint.
To each their own hope this was some help.

Not an AR but we had our batting helmets done. G5hydroimage did an amazing job and he does quite a few guns. He put extra clear coat on to keep the boys from scratching them up and it has worked great.

Because most guys with camo wrapped trucks also wear Ed Hardy shirts, making them a DB. Just do the opposite of what the guys wearing Ed Hardy shirts are doing and you can avoid being a DB
