Does anyone know of a good gunsmith, known for quality work on AK type rifles, in the Austin area?
I have Clinton era Romak 991 with a narrow trunion that I need to have rebuilt (or machined), to accept high cap magazines.

Unless you have a sentimental connection to it sell it and buy a WASR

I dont have any sentimental attachments to it and Ive got a couple other AKs. Just want to have it done. Plus WASRs are going for around $600 bucks now. Dont think I could ever bring myself to pay that much for one.

there is a good builder on here out of dallas. I forget his username but he posts in the classifieds some. Jroberts or something. ..

Yeah that's him. Never used him before, but understand her is thought of very highly when it comes to AKs.
