lets hear what yall thinks is the best?

I have been looking at the garmin delta any experience with that model?

I have a Garmin Alpha. I really like everything about it with two exceptions. The size of the handheld, and the amount of time that it takes to learn all of the features.

I find the tracking feature very handy during training sessions to measure the distance my dog travels. It is also very handy to track the area of a field the dog has or has not worked. When working a field the track feature shows every area the dog has covered.

When placing birds during training I find the mark position feature to be handy to find birds I put out. I am also using it as a GPS to mark some of my favorite honey holes for duck hunting.

I bought a garmin about 3 months or so ago.

It works well and I like the remote, but I don't think it will get hot enough for some dogs.

Other than that, everything has been great.

I went with the Pro 100. It has all I need.

I have the lowest Garmin and have to put it on 10 to get any reaction from my dog and mostly use 12. I thought I had a bad unit because the trainer used 3 on my dog with his tt basic.

I can get a reaction on 4 with mine.

his threshold is about a 12 or 13.

You have it on tight enough?


Then again, my dog is kind of a wuss too.

The one dog I have that's the same bloodline as yours, takes a higher number than the other 2 dogs. I know TT is hotter than sportdog, but I don't know how it compares to Garmin.
On a different forum someone was asking the same question on the new Garmin collars.

I sent a email to Gundog supply. Asking how well the new Garmin ecollars stack up to the TT, and if they run as hot as TT when you need them too.
I will post up their response when I get it.

Thanks. He is super stubborn and "hard" but that seems high. I got to where I just didn't worry about it.

Just got off the phone with them.
He said "No doubt about it, Delta Garmins are not as hot as the TT collars."
He said they were closer to the sport dog collars.
He had high praises for the Garmin Alpha.

Pro series are still the best I would think. + 1 for the pro 100
