Had me a JJ morning. Got up and out the door at 5:30 to see that the driveway was empty, so I call my buddy that was suppose to be there by then and I get the "I'm just leaving the house, I'll meet you there." I'm in no rush, so I stop by the truck stop and pick up some hot cocoa and get out of there before a lot lizard solicates me. There was hardly any wind when I get there so that changes my spot up as the ducks don't like to finish by the south shore without some good wind. After the last decoy is set, my buddy sets up and starts throwing on his gear. I just laugh at him because he is huffing and puffing and looking like a monkey screwing a greased football. He didn't know what shooting time was so I kept telling him to hurry up. After he gets his waders on and his stuff in the blind, I look at him while sipping on my hot chocolate saying well you can relax there is 15 minutes before LST. Ducks were already on the water milling around and all of them where gads. I told my buddy to be ready for a grey day and that prediction came true. At legal we had 10 gads sitting in the decoys. We jump them up and take 4 of them. It was on as there were ducks coming in from all directions. As soon as Maverick was back with each retrieve there were birds working. Got done in 15 minutes with 2 limits. Had 8 gadwalls, 1 green wing teal and 1 widgeon. As soon as we shot the last duck, the faucet turned off. As we picked up we saw maybe 10 more ducks and that was it.

Very nice...got to love the days you get a limit. That's a badass dog box and nice looking dog too.

Nope, that is a buddy of mine. I sent him the pic because it made it look like he was a midget. I guess he was standing in a hole???
