You are the 4th person I have heard this happening to this season. I hunt in far NE Texas. I have heard sooo many stories about how many fawns have been seen with doe this late in the season. I hunted opening weekend and all this past week and was also surprised to see some very young ones with their moms (no spots but had not been long since they lost them). Their had to be a lot of doe last year that got bred late or the rut was just late last year. This past week has me wondering if I missed the rut or if it has not started yet. The rut has almost always occurred or been a part of the week of Thanksgiving.
