I have been hunting for 20 years with a rifle and have decided to join the bowhunting scene for the upcoming year. Problem is I know very little about compound bows so i have been researching the past month about them to try to gather as much knowledge about them as I can. I would like opinions from y'all on which bow is good for a first timer. I will probably buy one this coming spring and my budget is 500 for the bow. Also which sights are the best and triggers. Many internet reviews has the mission ballisitic as one of the best for 500$. Agree or Disagree? Every opinion would be helpful. Thank you

First of all, welcome to the addiction. There's alot of good entry level bows out there, Mission, Hoyt, Diamond, Bear, PSE etc. My advice would be to go to your nearest bow shop and try them all to see which one you like best. If you live near the dfw area I would suggest going to Cinnamon Creek the guys there are very knowledgeable and can help you out. On sights, I would suggest a tru-glo, or apex. On rests it depends on what your willing to pay, on the high end I'd say a QAD drop away, on the low end a wisker bisquit. On releases it's all preference I use a caliper style release but there's alot of options out there. Good luck
