Hi Everyone,

Pretty new here and soaking up the information as fast as I can. I was hoping I could get the collective wisdom here for a light recommendation. I plan to start going on night hunts for hogs and such, and looking at a weapon light.

Here are kind of my parameters:
1. Range out to about 100-130 yards.
2. Fairly bright after adding filter (red or green).
3. Mounting system for both my bolt action and AR rifles
4. Regular switch and pressure switch through tail cap.
5. Cost for everything in the $100 range

Can you guys give me your recommendations? Thanks in advance

If you search amazon for Green Predator light you will find a lot of products. There are many members of this forum that also sell similar products. XLR 250 is always a good choice. I have a 15$ green light that I purchased from amazon that gives me great light out to about 75 yards.

I'd strongly consider the XLR 250 even though it's 50 bucks above your budget.

Here are some other recommendations:

Rcinit, any specific reasons for the Wicked preference over the others?

Wicked lights for sure, I just won one on the THF giveaway and it's phenomenal. I had a laser genetics nd3 and the wicked is a million times better.

You did win one, didn't you?! You'll have to post a review so we can learn more about Wicked Lights.

I'm in, because I'm stuck in deciding between your light and the wicked light. Other than the one review, I can't find much info or feedback about your light.....I can't decide which one....

I bought a Sniper Hawg light 66LR , I used it for the first time last and I must say it is a awesome light. I was able to shoot 400 yards with no problem and could see thru my scope just like it was day time.

The Wicked light have a greater range and the light doesn't have a dead zone(darker spot in the middle) and seem to be hazy. Both my XLR-250 and VRL-1 had the same issue. I've got two Wicked W400's(red/green) and they are both superior to the other lights.

So where does the ND3 rank with all of these? I just sold mine that I won in a raffle because I was thoroughly unimpressed with it. If there are better gun mounted lights out there for (hopefully) less money I would consider trying them again
