Looking to put some rabbits in my freezer close to the dfw. Anyone know any good public land areas that are close? Appreciate the help. Have enjoyed the forum a lot so far.

I've seen a couple just North of Forney off of FM 548. Just 2 miles off of interstate 80. I don't think it was public land, but there could be more in that area. You may want to just look for open pastures and knock on a few doors and ask if you can hunt or if they know who the property owners are in that area.

Worth a try.
