I've got some friends from out of state that would like to do a little duck hunting but would like to know if they are still flying in good numbers in North Texas up near Texoma. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Me and some buddies made a trip up there last weekend. The birds were few and far between. The guide worked their butt off to get us on birds, there just weren't many in the area. Our group ended up having a blast, but the numbers weren't great. Maybe this last cold front will push a few in.

When your not seeing those guides, or other guys on here, around that area posting their normal tailgate kill photos regularly to advertise for business on here it's probably a little slow around there. Lack of water is the biggest issue, not to say some guys around there are not still wack'em though. All you can do is give it a shot. Good luck.

The birds aren't here in numbers right now. There are little spots that are holding birds on public, but everyone knows about them and they're loaded with guys everyday. I hunted private on Monday morning for an hour before work and didn't fire a shot. I have been seeing more birds in the area with these couple cold snaps. If you all come up this way, good luck.

I have seen the least amount of birds in the 2 counties we hunt in the last 2 weeks that I have seen since beginning of season.....
Good luck! This front may move a few birds around though!

Last 2-3 weeks have been slow. Season started out strong and peaked before the split. Still had limits until the end of December. Since the first of the year, limits have not been common.

The last 2 weeks have been aweful!
We have very few birds...
I am Ready for Sunday to get here and season to be over!
This has been an extremely tough second split!

Plenty of woodies and gadwall over in my neck of the pineywoods
I don't always shoot deer, but when I do, I prefer B&C's. I don't always shoot ducks, but when I do, I prefer banded ducks.

North Texas more like souther Oklahoma.... we had about 100 redheads flying this morning and about 50 widgeon So you think the north shore would have a different report than the south? The Oklahoma report is sent in by game wardens that actually count the birds from hunters they check, physically or by viewing. It is probably the best and most unbiased report we can read. The OP mentioned texoma.

Close to right. The report from Texoma comes from Me. The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife management area Manager from Love County calls me every two weeks and I report what Ive seen and shot at the lake.

Found about 60 divers on a piece of private. Redheads, cans and ringers. Looks like we are going after them in morning. Since the Greenheads and Greys don't want to cooperate, divers it is lol

My last three hunts over the last week in Denton, Hunt, and Fannin Counties have been a bust.
Going way way south to finish this weekend.
