... somewhere? It's gonna be cold. I spent the night last Fri night near High Island, and it was cold enough. Not sure yet about this week ... depends on whether I can talk my grandson out of it.

We were down off White's Ranch Road Friday night in a little camp we built this summer. The heater died in the middle of the night and when we woke up it was quite chilly in there. I won't be spending the night anywhere Friday night but will be driving all night to Oklahoma tomorrow night. Should be an interesting drive, I'm praying there won't be any precipitation!

I took Friday off. Gonna make a little road trip and set up camp. I'm not fighting for a spot, but just scouting, making a fire, and relaxing. Maybe have a shiner or 2.

I figure we will bring a couple rod and reels and fish overnight too. My thought is, it's the last hunt of the season... Might as well go all out...

My vacation request for Friday...denied
Kid has a basketball game on Saturday AM at 0900. I want to throat punch the scheduler for that one. Alas, I'll be watching my 9yr old daughter cheer for a game that I don't like nor understand...priorities...

I'm heading out after the game, hoping to get in an afternoon hunt.
Sunday AM will be a short hunt before church...

Not exactly closing out the season with a bang.

Unfortunately, where I'll be hunting Saturday, getting in line and camping out IS the norm.

The bunk house I'll be staying in on the coast doesn't have a heater. Does that count?
