Hey everyone-
I'm in the market for a new safe, and I wanted to see if anyone has experience with either of these two models?
I've pretty much made up my mind about picking between these two safes for the following reasons.
1. They are both available at Cabelas, and I've been hoarding a little over a grand in gift cards. 2. They will fit where I intend to put it. 3. Both are made in the US ( I think) Liberty Colonial, and Cannon "Cannon Series" 4. Both have acceptable fire ratings. (45 min for Liberty and 60 min for Cannon)
The only thing I really like about this Cannon model, is their new EMP lock. It is a digital lock, with a backup manual dial.
Hoping to get some feed back, or I may just flip a coin.
Thanks, J

Sorry I disappeared since Wednesday.
Thanks for the feedback on the liberty's. I don't know why, but in my gut I feel as though their service would be superior to Cannon. But here's to hoping I never need to find out!

I have the Liberty Colonial in the smooth finish. Sales man mentioned to the wife about dust getting into the pockets on the textured safe and so we spent the extra for smooth and a deep burgundy color and gold trim. WE have had it 10 years. Bought it right after moving into this house, had it delivered and set in place.

I have owned both brands of safes and have quite a familiarity with safe locking mechanisms professionally. Stay away from Cannon.
