At first I thought I had the biggest pig I've ever trapped when I saw the big animal banging around in the trap.

Got him out safely though, definitely dont think he will be making that mistake a second time...

I have a neighbor that was trapping hogs a few years ago. Caught a calf in a trap in the field below our house and he was not happy, bawling all night long with momma just outside the pen. The neighbor lives out of town. I went down in the morning and released the calf, called my neighbor and told him what I did. He asked what beer I drank, next trip down there was a case of Coors yella-bellies at my gate

Sure did. I had never seen it before. We were set up on a thin mesquite tree line that runs through the middle of a 300+acre wheat field. About 10 min into the set we spotted him on a dead run right at us with his ears and head up looking for the sound (dying jackrabbit).

If I hadnt of shot, he would have probably run of us over!

my last hunt of the season we had a calf get caught in a hog trap, spent my morning trying to get him out without either of us getting too torn up. Amazes me that they get in there sometimes

tastes way better than pig.
