Lola, my chocolate lab, is the first dog I've trained myself in retrieving ducks and dove. After many month in the field at working and training, I took her with me the first time this weekend. She did better than I thought. I'm proud of her.    Wasn't a whole lot of ducks coming in that day. Kinda a slow morning.

Word of advice. Take the choke collar off when she is working. Very easy to get hung up in brush or down timber. Speaking from experience, it's not fun swimming out there to get her loose.
