This guy has been hanging around our barn for a few years now. i don't know how long their lifespan is but its gonna be a sad day when he is gone.

He enjoys eating pieces of deer heart, Bar-S franks and sausage.

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I had one for a pet when I was a kid. Took him out of a nest and raised it. Very tame and a good pet until my sister stepped on him and killed him.

I have a pair that follow me around when I'm mowing the grass. My only complaint is that they eat too many of my geckos.

coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc. I don't give eeffoc until I have my morning coffee.

They can get very gentle around houses. Don't forget that they do like baby quail also. Nice pics also.

Cool. We've got a bunch of those rascals. One stays close to the house and eats my pet lizards.

that is way cool!

raised 2 blue jays a long time ago. fed them nightcrawlers every 3 hrs for almost 2 weeks to get em going. the group they were hatched to was always around anyway, so
they hung around the house, & would follow me around when I was working outside
the house or in the garden. squirrels did NOT come around with those 2.
they finally either died or moved on after a couple years, but they left together.
Interaction with wild bird has always fascinated me.
