Long story short..... I got to go on a free range axis hunt near Brady tx. Awesome time! First time with these weird shady and tuff creatures.
258 yards 40 min after sunset on the last day. Rem .260 amax.

Ho ya still no good at pics.......

Thanks all. He went about 35ish yards. Went in a little low behind the shoulder...Hit the lungs. We let him sit for an hour before tracking (in the dark). Guide said the are real tuff. He had one go 2 1/2 miles and found him 5 days later. Shot in the shoulder with a 7mm mag core loc.
