First caliber I ever reloaded was .218 Bee, back around 57-58. Loaded with what we called a Lyman Nutcracker. Lot of W Tx jackrabbits fell to that round.

Neat round. Ran across a feller selling a Model 43 which was practically NIB at the Mesquite gunshow about 10 years ago. No $$ to do so. Still chapped about it.

Very similar. My Win model 43 is a .22 Hornet. Use it on varmints , turkey and coyotes. I call it a reload able .22 Mag.

The answer is FLINTLOCK! Now, what was the question?

Ya its a pretty neat little round for sure. My buddys rifle is a Win mod 43 as well. It shoots great like most of the older Winchester rifles. I know he puts a lot of song dogs to sleep with it.

The little .22 center fires are neat. I'd like to mess with them all, but time won't let me!
