Anyone shot the Winchester 223 40gr ballistic varmint round and had any grouping success? Seems to shoot all over out of my Savage M25. Going to try a heavier bullet tomorrow.

If the bullet is the 40 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip (or Ballistic Silvertip), then I do shoot that bullet in my reloads, though not in factory loads. Shoots great in my 1 in 9 twist Ruger. Like usual, I had to tinker with the loads till I found just the right combination, which was a warm load of H335. The bullet is great on coyotes, but not really enough medicine for a medium sized hog.

Would that round shoot better out of my 1/12 twist? I've been having problems finding factory ammo that's shoots good. I'd settle for a 2inch group at this point. Been shooting reloads that have been reduced down for my gun, loaded with a 55 grain bullet

I have a bolt gun with 1/12 twist that loves the 40 gr. Hornady VMAX ammo.

My CZ loves the 40 grain Winchester Varmint bullet. It is a 1-9 twist and shoots everything pretty good though.
