I'm having an issue with coots rafting up in the middle of the pond, and in turn pulling all the ducks down into them. I'm out of tricks in my bag. I've done everything but swim out after them. Mojos, jerk cord, all coot spread, and so on. It's to deep to walk out and I don't have a boat. Y'all have any ideas on how to pull the ducks to my spread and not the coots in the middle?
We interrupt this marriage for hunting season.

My dog will fetch my decoys on command. If I need to move some, I send her after them and then throw out again. Get a pup from the pound and train it. Very easy to do.

A slingshot launching some big marbles will be quiet and might discourage them from sticking around.

I feel your pain. One morning I had a group of coots run off every duck that came near the spread. They're like little pond alarms sometimes!

The coots are putting a hurting on our season.
I have never seen this many coots in the marsh. And the ducks suck straight in to the wads of coots and ignore the decoys.
We now have the smartest grey ducks and Pintail in Texas. When I hunt the tank on our farm in Central TX, the ducks come right in to the decoys with little or no work at all.
In the marsh, no way can you get those ducks to decoy consistently because of the coots.
Going to buy some coot decoys for next season.
