I have owned several ar rifles, and currently have a windham that I really like, and will probably keep so I decided that I wanted a scope for it. Been researching and researching!!! I have a vortex strike fire red dot on my sig 556, but wanted more magnification on the windham. Just ordered a burris fullfield ii, 2-7 and the burris pepr mount, hoping that I can use my flip up rear sight.
Anyone using a similar type set up? how do you like it?

I've got a Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24 in an SWFA SSALT 30mm Mount and I love it. I picked the SSALT mount over the PEPR because I didn't want/need the rails on top.
It should be a good setup for you though

It should be a good setup for you though I have the SSALT holding up a Millet DMS 1-4. I love it.

I have the Nikon P223 3-9x40 and P series mount on my heavy barrel M&P. Since its set up for hunting, I went with slightly more magnification. Very happy with both so far

I'm running the Viper PST 1-4 in an ADM dual QD Recon mount. Awesome little setup, glad I didn't spend the extra $1400 on the Leupold Mark 6!

I had the Burris 2-7 FFII mounted in a Nikon mount.Loved it. The Nikon mount is lighter than the Burris and slimmer, less bulky. Traded that upper and sold scope and mount, changed to Aimpoint H-1 RDS. This is the earlier Mark 4 1-4x20 Leupold on Burris mount. I was too bling, needed more POWER!

I looked at nikon and vortex scopes and mounts that were in my price range, and all had good reviews. I went with burris due to past experience, and reviews. Looking forward to getting in and mounted.

I built up an AR in 300 Blackout for my wife to shoot. I put a Leupold 2-7x32 on it with a Nikon P Series mount, and that's been a really great setup. I love shooting it, and so does she!

I have the burris mounts. I'm a fan of Luepold but the design of that mount didn't seem hardy enough for the abuse my gun receives.

I really like my Larue tactical QD mounts. I know its like drinking the cool-aid, but its nice to go between my low power scope, iron sights, (and somday an aimpoint) with just a couple pulls of a lever.

I went with this method. The risers can be removed without tools in order to take the scope off and use my iron sights---complete with Trijicon. I like simple!

Larue QD mounts are the only ones i use. Id rather support a US company that manufacturers their products in the US.

+1 for LaRue QD mounts. Buy once, cry once!
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

Thanks! I was looking for a scope for a second 300blk. Have the PF scope on the first one and hadn't found one I liked more for the second rifle. Great price for a good scope. I love the Burris XTR rings. Burris AR-PEPR works great too.

You can't cowitness through a 2-7. There should be enough room to mount most of the flip ups. However if you didn't order the quick detach save the weight and the the back up sites at home.

Ok, I recieved the scope and mount today. I ordered the ballistic plex reticle, the box is labeled ballistic plex, however it is not ballistic plex, it is the plain reticle. I now have a dilemma. Since I made the order, I have been having second thoughts. I done more research on the vortex scopes, and thinking I should have gotten it. Since I have to send the burris back anyway, should I take the opportunity to exchange it for the vortex 2-7 with bdc?
What would yall do?
