My 7yo female GSP has been missing since Dec 22.  I fear she has been taken as a couple of other dogs are missing in the neighborhood.  We live in Montgomery Tx an hour North of Houston.  I have pics and information at all animal shelters, GSP rescue.  Her name is Dixie or "Dixie Doodle" and she will answer to Doodles.  She had her orange collar and name tag and contact info on along with her remington training collar.  She is a sweet dog and is deeply missed.  Keep an eye out for her please.  My name is Rusty and ph#936-520-00foursix. I am trying to post pics and it isn't going well for me. Anybody care to post some up for me? I get to the upload screen and it wont let me add them...strange.

Emailed some pictures to some buddies that are more active on here. I am wondering if I have limited access due to lack of post. Hope to see pictures up this morning. Thanks to all that have viewed.

Pulled her picture off the GSP rescue page. I also shared the link with my nephew that's a trainer in the area.
Hope you find her.

Thanks Kindall, I owned Dixie for the first four years of her life & gave her to Rusty, his family was a perfect fit & they love her very much. Dixie is the sweetest dog you will ever know & I just pray that she finds her way home. My wife is completely beside herself over this and I know Rusty's wife & little girls are too. Please come home Dixie Doodle!!!

I also shared the facebook post to my facebook page. I'm still hopeful that she is out there running around lost & will finally walk up to the right person that will check her collar & call.

I was hoping you were posting that you found her.
Do you know if he put signs up at the local vets, and feed stores?

I'm pretty sure he did. Bad thing is, he really feels like she was stolen, I don't know what else he can do. Sucks.

Is she chipped?

I need to hit the Vets. Shelters are aware. She has not been chipped. We had one lead that turned out not to be her. What a let down that was. Thanks again for everything.

The reason I asked about the vets, its the first place I take a lost dog. My vet has scanned plenty of dogs for me to see if they are chipped.
Feed stores, and pet stores have boards for placing lost and found flyers.
And people need dog food, if the are planning on keeping the dog.
You can't hit every place, but these would be my top ones. Even some of the convenient stores will let you place flyers.
Craigslist has a lost and found section, and facebook has a lost dogs of Texas.

I was sure hoping you had found her when I saw you had posted.
Hate to say it but may be time to start looking for another.
Best of luck no mater what you decide.
