 Muzzleloader season question

Ok I'm going to ask this question, so y'all go easy on the "here's your sign" attacks, lol.
Now when TPWD says muzzleloader season they are saying that the gun must load from the muzzle, correct? I get In the habit of calling a muzzleloader a black powder gun. I have both but like my black powder gun that loads from the breach not the muzzle. So does this mean I cannot use this gun during muzzleloader season? Or is muzzleloader just TPWD way of terming black powder guns?
I figured this is a self explained question but thought I'd get some clarification or other opinions on it, so y'all go easy on me.

Muzzleloader = no cartridge = load from the muzzle, not the breech. Leave the black powder guns at home.

Good luck! We bought one the year before they changed the regulation on the doe/spike season in our county to ANY weapon, so our's has never killed a deer.

Haha, that kinda sounds like my luck. These are both my great grandpas guns from way back when and I shot them both last year and took the muzzleloader but never got an opportunity. Just always thought it'd be cool to kill somethig with one.

If they ever change it from muzzle loader to primitive arms, like some states have then you will be good to go.

my side lock uses black powder  its not a muzzy can i call a friend  them thar in-line muzzle loaders lot faster than taking butt stock then unsrewing plug pushing ball&patch quarter in up threw breach, filling behind with black powder screwing plug back on to proper aline ment butt stock back on fiddleing trying ta cap the nipple just ta get a follow-up shot. Ol Dannial & Davy had it tough

They ought to change it to primitive arms because the muzzle loaders nowdays are just like cartridge guns. Makes little sense!
It ought to be traditional, inline, and black powder, and call it primitive arms. Only reason they have it is for the revenue selling the stamp anyway.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.
