Fun!!

It's a bad cell phone video at the bottom link, but you can hear the difference. I plan on taking a decent video at the ranch with the GoPro. It took FOREVER to get, but it does sound like a paintball gun and is a versatile suppressor. I'm excited to put it on my AAC Blackout with some 220 grain ammo!

Does it have the booster on it? I love mine on the 300 blackout. It's the most silent on my .308 bolt gun.

Yep, booster is in. I have a separate fixed attachment for the AAC Blackout.(no spring is needed since there is no slide movement) I bet the .308 Bolt is VERY quite.

It does make allot less noise. How much did it cost, with the permit?

Spiderman: the suppressor was 800, and the tax stamp was 200. I wish it stopped there BUT...the gun trust was 150, and the different attachments for different hosts are 75 a piece. Silencer Shop in Austin, Tx, does a pretty awesome job of getting you set up. It's the wait that turns people away. When the government shut down, that tagged on an extra 2 months! It's not the cheapest hobby to get into, but you pay all that upfront, and over (in my case) 11 months it's more palatable on how much you spent. Of course in those 11 months I got a Storm Lake threaded barrel, a Crimson Trace laser, and a light....ammo, mags, etc, until my wife told me to take it EASY on the attachments lol.

11 months??? Geez

I would bet my suppressor and all of my guns that you couldn't get a tax stamp back in 4 months for a suppressor. Doesn't matter who the dealer is. 8 months is the average wait now...and that's being liberal. Back in the day you could get one in 2-4 months easy!

To add to your comment, there are a lot of misconceptions and misinformation about the e-file system. It is not a perfect system. There have even been some legal minds question the validity of it versus what the law strictly reads.

I just sent in my $200 and paperwork recently on an SMG. I don't mind waiting.

I'm almost a year into a wait on a big suppressor, too. I'll just keep waiting.

Well either way, good luck on your SMG...those are FUN. Yep you never know, your wait time might be a lot quicker. I hope the times will shorten. The only advice I can give is be patient. I was told something different every month, and if you call the NFA branch, they will either speak in code, or they will get straight to the point. I do know they are shorthanded and sifting through thousands of trusts etc......it is a RIDICULOUS wait, but worth it.

I think there is one lady that does the whole lot from Texas to Florida. Mine took I think 7 months, they sent it back for a correction. I made the correction and had the stamp the next month.

Well I’m happy for you, but it kind makes me feel like my dog just died when you say 11 months, I am coming up on 7 and I was told 8ish when I filed. I was getting my hopes up it would come in soon, but I you just took the wind out of my sails saying its closer to 11 right now. Well have fun with your new toy chief.

NOLA, trust me, I have been there. I was gullible and thought mine would come in 4.....then for sure in 6. Then I was FOR SURE set on 8. Finally I just sat back and 11 months later she came. By that point my friends and family thought I was full of crap and that I would never see it lol. I hope it goes faster for you.....when the government shutdown I was about 8 months in and and was approved....but had to wait longer as their branch was completely shut down. I felt like someone punched me in the stomach. Good luck...you are almost there!
