Now that season is over, post up pics of your kids journey as a hunter.

Joshua's first in 2005. Shot with a 223 in Clay cty.

Joshua's first good deer in 2008. Shot with my old 243 in Collingsworth cty.

Joshua's cull from this year. Taken with his 7mm rem mag in Collingsworth cty.

Been a joy having him as my hunting partner from age 7 to age 15.

That is great.

My boy is 8, almost 9 and just now was able to handle a 22 sort of due to it not fitting him. How did you get the gun to fit right at 7?

He couldn't shoot the 243 yet, so we borrowed a youth model New England firearms single shot in 223. He shot that his first 2 years of hunting.

Me and my lease buddy have these two boys that started their journey this year. Here's
to many more together! They just learned how to be quiet and patient this season. Their "trigger finger isn't quite
ready."

Good thread A.B. I'll brag a little bit!

Daughter's first kill (7 years old) - Boar with AR from 120 yards. Barnes 55 gr TSX.

First buck (still 7) - Same rifle and ammo.

First doe (7 again) - Same rifle and ammo.

First Aoudad (same age) - Same rifle and ammo.

Best buck - This season (9 yrs old) - Remington Model 7 243, federal 90 gr bonded core.

Keep'em coming everyone! Nothing better than kids outdoors.
