Has anyone tried the new Primos Truth Ultra Game Cameras?? Mainly the Ultra 35. I have had a couple of the older models, but the newer ones are suppose to be much better with longer battery life?? How are the pictures both daytime and at night?? Thanks

I have sold a few of them and the people have been pleased so far. I am also using a ultra 46 and a blackout myself, and so far they are doing great. I haven't had any problems with them and I am still running on the same set of batteries since I put them up before season.

Bought an Ultra 35 about 9 months ago. I have been very pleased with the battery life but slightly disappointed with picture quality. The daytime pics are good enough but night time and the "transition" photos are not good. My only other camera is an older moultrie with standard flash and it took great pics but battery life was awful. My BIL and his friend run Moultries and love them. I think if i get another it will be an Ultra 46 (or the old 46) or a moultrie. Also, my Ultra has stopped keeping time/date. Never gave much thought to how nice it was to know this info until it quit. If you want, I can email you some pics so you can see real world images and their quality, just PM me your email.

I have 6 of the older Truthcam 46 and 60 series, I bought the small new model Ultra 46 this year. Side by side I would take the old style hands down. Picture quality and lack of triggering on animals, missing game, are not real good on the new Ultra. Too bad you can't get the older models anymore.

I got one for christmas, set out two times an both times the night pics were black, the day pics were nice. Took it back and will try it again. The last setting it took 2000+ pics, some were just trees swaying in the wind...

Put two new one's out in Sept. Went back in October-----zero pictures on either one. Serial numbers were within 5 so both were made at the same time. Tried to format the cards per the instructions again nothing- changed the time lapse to 5 sec. nothing. Sent both back. Put the two replacements out in Dec., watched deer for one hour at the feeder, next day checked the card, nothing form the afternoon hunt. Reformated cards, set the time lapse to 30 sec., very few photos on one and the other one seemed to work better. Have two Primos 35's that take the D Cell batteries and they work great.
Good luck

We purchased the new model when introduced about a year ago and both had problems. Returned the and have stuck with large model units and continue to buy the TC 35s when I find them.
We have all the Primos models running on the ranch year round. Decent to good quality pics depending on MP settings
Check out our website for pics from them TC35, 46 and 60s

We have an ultra 35 and ultra 46. Good battery life, good pictures. Daytime better than night. Tried to set the sensitivity down and still get a lot of pictures. Some of them are birds flying through that miss the lens. I would grade them a strong B.

All I can say is I had a 55 or 60 I forget which, for 3 years. The motion sensor lens got brittle and broke apart. I called Primos and they told me they no longer made it or had parts for it, but would be happy to sell me a new one. I know three years may be a long time for a camera I just did not care for their attitude, and after all they work for me. I have a old 40D Moultrie, the lcd screen went out some time ago but the camera kept working. Replaced the lcd screen last year for 16.00 TTL, camera still working, company treated me decent, I will probably replace the Primos with a Moultrie.
