Dont know how long the ads been up but i just saw it. I have never had an issue but have always thought about it. Does anyone use a safety or something to make sure the latch cant open. If so how about sharing the how you do it. I feel sorry for anyone that this happened to but really having a hard time figuring out how it it is polaris fault

I read that the other day as well and it has me worried, I don't really use the dump bed so im thinking about securing it semi permanent somehow you would think Polaris would make it to where you could put a lock or bolt in it to secure it

What is it. Or can you elaborate on it? Easy on and off or more semi permanent?

you can't always blame the manufacturer for something that was used in the wrong manner. I just put a bungy on mine to hold tension on it closed. I have had 3 people in my high rack and not had any problem. I sure there is a way to drill holes and install a pin of some sort.

Sorry I just saw your response. They replace the bed shock with a piece of flat strap steel. Every high seat comes with warning stickers of the risk of dumping without it. Brrrrrr.

Ratchet strap whatever you are using to the roll cage. I thought this was common knowledge.

There is a simple fix to securing your bed from opening when you have a high rack or alot of wieght in it. Located on both sides of the bed directly behind the hook latch you will find a 3/8" hole. Take a 5/16" u-bolt, can't remember the length, and cut in half in the center of the u. This will create a j bolt. Place the straight end in the hole, the j around the latch and tighten securely with a nylock nut. It will never open unexpectedly again...

The bed dump doesn't bother me, we strapped it down. Its the limbs that keep coming through the floor and up into the back set that scare the crap out of me.
