Here's my favorite of my dog Boudreaux yet.

And here's a few more.

This is Copper. He joined the family on Saturday. I'm ready for all the work to get him in the blind with me next year

This is Cricket. It's her first year hunting and it has had it's rough moments but she is doing pretty good for me now. She is definately one of a kind. Sorry about the big pics.

Here's Barkley, she just turned two. Really turned out to be a great hunter and house dog.

This is my old girl Kate. This was toward the end of the season last year on what will probably prove to be her last hunt. She's too arthritic to go anymore so she has the sole responsibility of holding down the couch every night.

This is Bailey's General Beauregard... "Beau" He is almost 5 now and though he has his moments I'm beginning to appreciate how good he really is. Early this season I jumped and shot a limit of teal while Beau was laying down behind me. All birds (including two pretty lively cripples) landed in some thick lily pads and deep mud. 6 textbook blind retrieves later I had all my birds and my dog back in my canoe. I can't ask for more than that!

.

From the teal hunt

And of course, he is an excellent family dog and my 3 year old's (and cat's strangely enough) best friend.

I know a guy who's dog will retrieve one in about six ducks, but when the hunt is over he will take photos with the dog in them as if he retrieved all of them. The last time he was insistent on having the dog hold one of the mallards in his mouth for the photo, made me sick.
