regular season is over-been one of my best to date. knocked over my biggest whitetail ever, and put a spot and stalk on the biggest mulie we have seen in 5 years on our little 160 acres. Put a 8 yo on his first deer ever and helped a buddie get his first buck, get his 10 yo his first buck and his 8 yo his first deer. Freezer full of meat, and everyone is healthy, so I guess I shouldn't complain. 2 weeks to fill doe tags and donate meat I guess.

Might find some braves souls to chase hogs with dogs in the next couple of months...who's in?

Your right, you shouldn't complain. Me or my son haven't fired a shot yet.. will try again in two weeks and then keep after hogs in off-season.

I have way more fun with the kiddos hunting and me just guiding them so to speak.. Its the best time i have hunting. My son gets a kick out of how excited dad gets when he takes a deer..

I had a twinge of depression as the last light faded on that last evening, but I'll just switch back to varmint hunting. Heck, I hunt on our place (where we live) most all of the year, except for those really hot summer days.
