My daughter and I took off to the lease after the big Ice Storm of 2013. After spreading some extra corn we settled in to the stand hoping to see a big 8 that we had seen on TC and my buddy had seen the week before. 20 minutes after getting in the stand this guy show up and my daughter is ready to go. I told her it was too early and we needed to wait to see if a bigger one would show up. I also wasn't sure if he would make the AR's. After watching this guy clean up all the extra corn that was put out we watched him leave. At this point I'm hoping something else shows up and gives an opportunity at a harvest... Well 15 minutes later the same buck came back to see if there is any more corn and she was ready to go again. We watched him walk off again. At 4:45 the feeder goes off and 10 minutes later we see a deer coming to the feeder. It's the same 8 as we had been seeing all day! Needless to say I couldn't tell her to wait for a third time. After watching him some more I had decided he would make AR's but not by much so I told her to let him get away from the feeder and take him. She put a perfect shot on him with her 7mm -08. He went about 15 yards and dropped. I think you can tell by the smile on her face that she was pretty excited.

Nice buck I would guess 13.5" tdecker22 you are right. txshntr this is my youngest and she loves hunting. As long as she is in the stand with me I know I won't be the one taking the shot. I hope yours love's it as much as she does.

Nice buck and great smile. All my kids including my two girls have hunted with me since they were in diapers and the still do at 22, 19 and 16. There is nothing like it.
I once drank muddy water out of a hoof print and was dang glad to get it.
