Was runnin the trap line today and the ball joint separated on my passenger side wheel this morning. Just turned off a paved road too about 30 sec before it happened. Just thankfull nobody was hurt and it didn't do more damage than it did. I could have been way back in a secluded area too where a wrecker couldn't get to me. Could have been a lot worse!

Just curious did the truck handle differently as you were going down the road before this happened?

And yes it did handle different. It was a little different this morning I noticed when I would turn to the left it was a lot stiffer. And I heard a little tink tink kinda noise every now and then and a little before that it was grinding when I turned left but Early this morning I was going through some mud and I thought it was just some mud on my fender that was hitting my tire. I didn't put it all together that my wheel was about to come off. Sometimes you learn the hard way I guess. Just glad I didn't hurt anyone else by an error on my behalf

That could have been bad. I flipped a 73 Z28 from a broken ball joint at 70 mph in a corner. Wasn't pretty at all.

got lucky myself. Was a nut on a tie rod that fell off in my case but when we got it to the shop and they gave it a look over all 4 ball joints were goners as well as some bent linkage from taking out a 200+ lb hog south of Paducha. Glad to hear it ended without anyone getting hurt.

Hey thanks buddy I saw yours too back on here awhile ago as well. Glad everything went ok with yours as well. Tires back on today but going to give the whole suspension an overhaul this weekend. Got lucky once, don't want to test it again
