Looking at a lease in this area and was wanting to know if any TBHers have or are hunting in this area. How is it? Good deer? turkey? dove?

Bass, I've always heard some good ones up around Olney, quite a bit of agriculture that way which builds up the body sizes and antlers. Not sure about herd density or abundance of deer though vs. hunters in that area..

This lease is 2500ac and 8 hunters which makes it $4.80/ac. Not a bad deal if there are good deer population.

Sounds like you should explore it further IMO. Very good price if the deer are there.

That is considerably less than the 'normal' going rate around there.
There are small pockets of good deer and large areas of not much, dove is usually good, turkey are spotty like deer.
For that price it is definitely worth the time to go look, I wouldn't hesitate more than a couple hours to make arrangements to go look.
Leases NW of DFW go fast, real fast.
Like DQ said there is a bunch of open ground in the area.
