Finally got around to converting my thumbhole MAK90 to a regular stock and pistol grip model. Turned out pretty nice if I do say so myself. Yes, it is 922r compliant (US made stock set [3 parts] and US made magazine assembly [3 parts], also note that the muzzle is not threaded and no muzzle device is present [total of 9 commie parts])

You were lucky; you have a straight model. I bought a BWK-92 many years ago and did it only if I could pull the butthole (term of contempt, not ignorance) stock and inspect the receiver. Now, it's not so bad if you have an angle-cut model, since there's some options out there besides a home-made buttstock.

I just did one. Changed the gas piston and trigger group. Used an original stock and pistol grip. Is that grip Ironwood? I am thinking about changing mine so I don't have to deal with one magazine part.

My entire stock set is a US made Timbersmith set that I had to work over to get it to fit. If I pick up another MAK-90 I'll do what you did. I like the original Type 56 blonde look with the checkered grip.

Looks great FishCharmer.

I went with Iron Wood myself.
