If you got a 900 crew they have both glass and poly full windshields as well as rear windows that are quick attach and are a great improvement. These can be put in or removed within minutes. They also have a new improved poly that is much better than the old stuff.

I have fortress roof that's insulated and that's very important IMO and fortress sliding front window lets the wind through when its warm and blocks it out when its cold

Half windshield if you are in dusty environment or in rain/ high humidity over the full.

Full metal insulated roof but bends with low hanging branches mixed with high rates of speed. One I got is sturdy enough to hold me if I need to step out of the high rack

Tried the canvas to noisy. Plastic roof got brittle with in a few years.

We have been using aluminum diamond plate metal roofs because they are so sturdy and we can actually stand on them to fill feeders and often use them to strap 10-14' feeder legs when we are moving stand locations.
We also use fold down windshields that are hinged right in the middle so in warmer weather you still get air movement but in colder weather you can flip them up to protect against the cold and wind. The key is to have them split in the middle so they don't rest on the hood of the Ranger.
We also use those roll up windshield that attach with Velcro for the rear windshield to keep the dust from rolling in.
One really neat trick I learned from a guy here on the forum is to put a piece of foam rubber between the bottom seat cushion and the back seat cushion to help even further in stopping the dust from circulating inside the cab area....it works well
here are a few photos of our windshields, rear window, roofs and rubber between the seats.

My ranger get hot as hell in the summer time. I've got two piece windshield that you can remove the top or just fold it out a bit. It works pretty well for me.

This photo was taken in Colorado with the window up. It gets kinda chilly at 12k' in August up there.

"G" did you make the windshield yourself, or buy?

I don't use a windshield as I find it creates a lot of dust in the cab. I got the top from Texas High Country and it already had the mounts for the safari lights and it was two piece with a rain ledge. I like it and would buy another one...... Everything is Rhyno coated also on the roof....

Diglbert I actually bought it off Ebay, there are several people on Ebay that will make them to your specific size requirements and ship them to you. The guy I bought it from is out of Kentucky and he has built four or five of them for me.
Getting them spilt exactly in half is a big deal so they don't rest on the hood.

By the way, it is a poly-carbonate material, do not get Lexan because they are too brittle and break easily

I like Extreme Metal Products as well, but I'm looking for an automatic windshield wiper for the nasty midwest winters and this manual wiper is all I can find. Anybody know of one that is electric?
