I hunt on a shoe-string budget, but I am fortunate enough to have supportive parents that like to spoil me even though I'm thirty and married. They gave me a JetSled XL and an Ameristep Hayhouse blind.

I walk in and have been dragging an overloaded cement mix tub. The jet sled is huge and slides so much easier over the mud. It is long enough for me to turn into a layout blind for when I hunt alone (I'm not very tall, so I can fit in the thing). I like things that can be dual purpose. I have some wire panels that I can camo up and attach to the sides with hinges.

Anyone have experiance with the hayhouse blind? It seems like a great blind, but I normally hunt wide open lake shore and wonder about it looking odd. I'm sure I will need to spend quite a bit of time brushing it in to look natural. I have been taking out a friend that is new to hunting and this blind seems perfect. I won't have to tell him to sit still or wait before he jumps and shoots. I just won't pull the cord to open the top until it's time.

Should work as long as it doesn't cast to big of a shadow
