Thanks, and Jacob says thanks! What's even better is I got this on video. Even got Jacob finding the buck (he ran about 20 yards and dropped in the brush). I actually saw the deer, but sorta directed him to find it.

Thanks! There is nothing like taking a child hunting and seeing their excitement. This hunt was one of the two greatest hunts I've been on. The other was when he took his first deer, a doe, after on his first shot he missed. I never told him what buck fever was. He had shot a thousand .22 rounds and a hundred .243/.223 before the doe and he is very accurate on paper. Well a real live deer was different. He was panting and when he shot and missed he said he jerked the trigger. Later that night I told him to control his breathing and pull the trigger straight back and sure enough dropped the doe.
My dad never took me hunting and always envied my friends who left to go hunt with their dads.
