Still have yet to bring anything into the foxpro. Can someone shed some light or more specifically how and what sounds you are using for success???

Start low with baby cottontail for 7 minutes, switch to adult cottontail for 7 minutes or until you see a coyote. After 7 minutes of adult cottontail switch to whatever fast high pitched bird sound you have for 10 minutes. Nothing still? Last sound should be pup distress for 6 minutes.

More importantly is setting up properly, I would be willing to bet that you did call something in, but you didn't see it. Be able to see downwind, I like to set-up with a cross wind. Make them come out into the open if they want to grab your wind. Break up your silhouette by backing into a tree or bush or fence post. Sun at your back is a huge bonus. Use shadows if you can. STOP FIDGETING AROUND! They see any and all movement. Set the caller up wind of you so that if they circle downwind, they wind up in your lap.

Possible that the physical area you are calling in has been over hunted with the same Foxpro sounds. Might try adding a few from your own hand held call. Or try a Johnny Stewart. Seems everyone is using Foxpro, no one wants to learn how to call using old style methods.

Wise words right there and like said also try some different sounds .One other thing is try and locate them too because if there not there no call is going to work.

What are you wanting to call ? Coyotes ? Cat ? Fox ?
I play different sounds for different stuff but some times the sounds will attract all

Try the lucky bird for cats an let if play awhile , watch carefully sometimes you might be missing the cats just sittin an watching

Try scream n fox or whatever for fox

An coyote I use baybee cottain tail

How big a place are you hunting, and how often has it been hunted. It kind of sounds like you might have "educated" the locals predators to the sounds of the FoxPro.

600 acres with 400+ around. Any varmint hunting is just cattle guys shooting yotes out in the pasture.

None of the above mentioned sounds came with my foxpro. I was using lighting jack and ranting red bird based on what I've read.

We have coyote tracks all over the place so that would be the priority.

Lighting jack is one that works about 95% of the time for me
How long do you call ?
How are you set up ?
A lot of times your set might be just all wrong depending on how you get there.
How long are you waiting before you start calling ?
There are so many things I could say and ask but most of it just comes with time and fingering out what works in the area you are in , heck what works one time might no the next place.

Was deer hunting so I sat there 2 hours before calling. Ran lightning jack 5 min low 5 off the 5 min gradually louder, the switched to ranting red same way finished with coyote yelps/howls 30-40 minutes before giving up.

You might try a few low mouth squeaks first an wait about 5 min then if nonething go loud for a session and rotate your call around to get the sound out in differant areas
