I know there are a handful of people that grew up with chocolate gravy but I bet there are more that have never heard of it. My wife made some this morning so I thought I would post the recipe.

1 1/2 cups white sugar
3 tablespoons corn starch
3 cups milk
3 heaping tablespoons of baking cocoa
1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Butter to taste

Mix first 5 ingredients in heavy saucepan, stir until thick. Won't be as thick as pie filling.
Add vanilla, add butter now or allow butter to be added after it has been applied to biscuits ( my fav). Diabetics need not apply!

My mom used to make this growing up. It is my favorite but I haven't had it in years. I used to put butter in it and let it melt and then put it homemade biscuits. The best breakfast ever. It will definently clog your arteries though.

When I was a kid I couldn't wait to go to my Aunt and Uncle's ranch in Lane, Ok. I would go with my uncle and feed early in the morning and when we would get back my aunt always had a huge breakfast, all I wanted was the biscuits and chocolate gravy. I know whats for breakfast on Saturday morning... Thanks
