These two bucks we passed on last year. I have a small place but have several neighbors that don't hunt and together it adds up to about 450-500 acres of pretty heavy brush/pasture land. I was actually sitting in the stand last week when these first two pictures below were taken. He came out about 5 minutes too late and I could not get the cross hairs on him as the light was low due to very heavy cloud cover. He was an 8 last year to but has definately added at least 10" of bone. What do they score? This buck really put it on this year, especially on spread. He added at least 3" there alone. He was a 9 last year with the same kicker.
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

I remember when you bought the place a few years ago. Brushy area in the back and I think you had some turkey at the time. I bet it has been a real surprise to you BIGBUCKS. Nice deer. Not sure what they would score, but I'd be proud to shoot one.

Some great lookin bucks, I don't think many people would think those deer exist where your at. You are right redchevy.......but a few know about it because I had poachers two weeks ago. I saw flashlights in the back of my place along the border with my neighbor. Called him up and he said NOBODY should be in there at all. I called the warden but it took her about 25 minutes to get there. I grabbed my 40 with two HC mags and walked back to within about 200-250 yards of them while she drove into the neighbors with him. As soon as they heard her truck come in off the road the lights went out and they shagged a**. Looked for about an hour and a half and didn't find anything. I better not catch them or get a picture of them! I've set some cameras now in places they will not expect or see them and I will catch them if they come back.

Where are you hunting at, if you dont mind me asking? Our place is in far East/Southeast Bexar county right on the county line. We are about 6 miles outside of 1604.

Thats right down the road from me. Dang nice deer for that area, or any area. Redchevy's right, I've been living aroung there my whole life and have never seen anything like those. Keep up the good work, more guys like you and we might be seeing more deer in that part of the county.

Not sure what they would score, but I'd be proud to shoot one. Yes sir. Still have quite a few turkeys. We had a real nice buck there the first year (4 years ago) and I haven't seen him since. He was an 8 with muley forks on both 2s making him a 10. Every year we are getting more quality bucks and I think that is simply because we are feeding more and letting the young bucks walk.

love that first buck. mid 130's, maybe upper 130's depending on beam length. I am coming up with the same thing exoticbob. I'm thinking 133-135 but if his beams are a bit longer than they look he could push high 130s. Score is not a big deal to me as a trophy to me is a mature deer whether he's 115" or 170". And for the area, these bucks certainly fit the bill.
