My grandfather and I are going hunting on one of his buddies ranches in Caldwell on Thursday. No one has hunted it yet. Anyone know how the deer are looking there, whether rut started, how well they're moving, etc? Preciate it.

I have been in the field alot in South Eastern part of the County and the bucks are seperated up and hanging with the does. We got a little rain and the outlook looks good for this week and weekend. What part of Burleson County will you be hunting? I have taken a couple doe during bow season and they were both fat, I think the heard is in good shape.

Not exactly sure where the ranch is lol. My grandfather has hunted it for years with his buddy, who is not able to hunt this year, so this is the first chance I've gotten to hunt it. I'll let you know when I get back. All I know is it's 250 acres next to a 1200 acre tract that is well managed and low fenced
