If so, is the front sight stable enough for everyday carry? I'm worried that the single screw for the front sight would loosen over time. Thanks for any info.
Haha yea I polished that thing for hours.

Blue lock tight. Have several glocks with night sites, never had one loosen while shooting or carrying. A little dab will do ya

I've put Trijicons on two different CW40s. The front sight came with a screw that was treated with a threadlocker of some kind. Seems like it was blue, but I honestly don't recall for sure. Dealing with the rear sights was a great big giant bugger. I did it using a vice with bronze jaw inserts, brass punches, a c-clamp, a brass hammer, a potion of lizard gizzards & bat spleens, and a magic wand.
I think I may just send the slide in an let someone with the right tools do it for me next time. Collecting the required bat spleens is just too time consuming.

The front sight on a kahr is plastic? I never noticed. The CW and CM series Kahrs have pinned polymer front sights. That's part of the corner cutting to lower the price compared to the P and PM models which have dovetailed metal front sights.

XS in Ft. Worth requires you to bring the gun to them for install. Said too many guys were not getting front sight set correctly and having failures, so they want to install so that their gaurantee will be valid.

I was going to send my slide to Kahr and have them install the sights, but they add a $25 handling fee, plus the cost of shipping, plus the installation charge. I think I'd be better off taking it to a place like XS.
